Summer 2025
Coming Soon

We expose young people from underserved communities to STEM through robotics while providing meaningful STEM internships for high school and college students.
Our Mission
Who We Are
B-SMART to WorkSmart is a nonprofit organization based in Brooklyn, NY, dedicated to introducing young people to the world of Robotics and facilitating summer internships in the STEM field for high school and college students. Our primary goal is to expose middle and high school students to the opportunities that exist in STEM as well as cultivate the skills necessary to pursue successful careers in the field.

Our Impact
Our program focuses on exposing young minds to Robotics and preparing them for future careers in the STEM industry. We also offer career readiness workshops and internship opportunities to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge required for the workforce.
What We Do

Robotics Workshop
Learn Hands-on
Students enrolled in our summer program receive guidance and support from trained mentors. Our mentors, led by an expert in the teaching of robotics, provide valuable insights and advice to help students navigate and complete their working robot for competition.
Internship Opportunity
Learn & Earn
Our summer internship opportunity aims to bridge the gap between education and the robotics industry by providing selected students paid hands-on experience to mentor teams of students to solve real world problems with robotics.

Career & Workforce Development
Learn from Experts
Through our program, students can explore various career paths and connect with industry professionals to enhance their employability and improve future prospects. Students will learn how to craft a cover letter, professional resume, as well as the soft skills necessary to ace an interview.
What We Use
Students use Fusion 360 and Onshape to collaboratively design, test, simulate operations, and manufacture their amazing projects, making the entire engineering process an exciting adventure!

Fusion 360
Our students used Fusion 360 to design and prototype parts for their robotics projects. They created 3D models of components, tested fits and assemblies virtually, and prepared designs that could later be 3D printed or machined in the workshop.

OnShape
We are exploring Onshape as a new design tool for our projects. Since it runs entirely through the web, users can access and edit models from any device—be it a laptop, tablet, or Chromebook. This platform makes it easier for students to collaborate and continue building no matter where they are.

Key Initiatives
Empowering Youth
Our initiative focuses on empowering the youth to pursue careers in STEM by providing them with the necessary knowledge, support and resources, while exposing them to opportunities that exist. We believe in fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation to create a brighter future for all.
